Go With Your Menstrual Flow

Yoga Poses To Ease That Time of the Month



When that time of the month comes along, some deal with heavier symptoms than others. Cramping, irritability, food cravings, fatigue, mood swings and too much more are a few included symptoms that seem to escalate during this time period.


Expecting your flow each month can even involve planning certain events and meetings around it to avoid mixing the two together.


This includes yoga.


Skipping your time on the mat for a whole week can do more bad than good for your body. Believe it or not, It only takes a week to lose flexibility and strength.


Your mind too. I would say yoga is vital if not more beneficial during your flow to help alleviate a lot of those uninvited symptoms.


For those of us needing a boost in order to “go with our flows,” try following the yoga sequence below to keep everything in check:

The effect yoga has on the body and mind is absolutely incredible. With this short sequence, holding each pose for as long as my body allows, has allowed me to continue my yoga practice even through those difficult couple of days.
